|
Applications |
| Mecofill® silver coated glass flakes are electrically high-conductive additives.
They represent an economical alternative to pure silver.
|
|
 |
|
 |
| The high aspect ratio
of the flakes enables an excellent particle contact even at low filling degrees.
The use of extremely thin glass flakes as chemically inert substrate makes it possible to
reduce the portion of expensive silver strongly to minimize the density of the filler and
to achieve at the same time - due to the partikel shape - an effective electrical
conductivity network. These factors can cause enormous cost advantages in the
final product.

Features |
- pure silver as coating material enables low final product resistances.
Depending upon silver content and amount of filling values, resistances are reached within
the range of 10-1 to 10-3 ohm cm.
- from a particularly developed coating process an excellent adhesive strength from silver
results to glass
- chemically inert borsilikate glass withstands highest temperature and reduces at the same time
the density of the filler. The high aspect ratio af the particles enables an optimal conductivity
network.
