|
Applications |
| Mecofill® silver coated glass fibers are electrically high-conductive additives.
Due to the high aspect ratio of the fibers, an effective conductivity network can be formed,
which enables high conductivity and thus high shielding effectiveness of the end product,
even at low filler lowdings.

 |
|
 |
| The portion of expensive silver is strongly reduced by the use of
glass fibers as chemically inert substrate. Thus operational areas open, which are not
accessible to pure silver in addition, other partikel shapes.

Features |
- pure silver as coating material enables low final product resistances.
Depending upon silver content and amount of filling values, resistances are reached within
the range of 10-1 to 10-3 ohm cm.
- from a particularly developed coating process an excellent adhesive strength from silver
results to glass
- chemically inert borsilikate glass withstands highest temperature and reduces at the same time
the density of the filler. The high aspect ratio af the particles enables an optimal conductivity
network.
